We're thrilled to share that Nemesis, our breach-and-attack simulation (BAS) platform, is now fully integrated with the Model Context Protocol (MCP). That makes Nemesis the first BAS solution to natively support MCP, unlocking easy interoperability with autonomous AI agents.
In plain terms: Nemesis can now “speak the same language” as AI assistants, opening the door to real-time, AI-driven simulation and response to cyber threats.
Quality Over Hype – Our Deliberate Approach to AI
As a security practitioners first, we've always believed in substance over buzzwords. Over the past months, many have asked: “Where’s the AI in Nemesis?”
Yes, there was pressure to slap on AI just to ride the hype wave. But we chose a different path; we focused on building a robust, scalable platform first, grounded in reliability and real-world value.
Now that the AI ecosystem has matured, we’re embracing it thoughtfully and purposefully. MCP, an open standard now backed by OpenAI and others, has reached a tipping point. And for Nemesis, the timing is perfect to integrate AI the right way.
Why MCP Integration Is a Game-Changer
Think of MCP as a universal adapter between AI and tools. It standardizes how AI systems connect to external platforms.
By supporting MCP, Nemesis instantly becomes accessible to AI co-pilots across the ecosystem. Instead of being locked into a proprietary or closed approach, we’re offering a structured, high-quality, and deterministic interface for running security assessments.
When an AI agent interacts with Nemesis, it receives predictable, reliable, and context-rich outputs, exactly what's needed for trustworthy automation. In an age of AI hallucinations, Nemesis becomes the steady hand: delivering consistent results while AI does what it does best.
What This Unlocks – A Real-World Use Case
One example we’re excited about:
Threat Intel + BAS on Autopilot Imagine your threat intel feed detects a critical new CVE or attack pattern. Instead of just alerting a human analyst, an AI agent (powered by an LLM) could automatically trigger Nemesis (via MCP) to simulate that exact attack against your environment.
Minutes later, you’ve got a detailed report of how your defenses would respond, no manual effort required. The AI correlates the findings, updates your risk dashboard, and even proposes mitigations.
Humans and AI – Better Together
This MCP integration isn’t just a feature release for our team; it reflects our core philosophy:
“Innovate boldly, but build responsibly”. We’re empowering AI to take on more but not to replace the critical thinking of human operators.
We couldn’t be more excited about what this means for our users, partners, and the broader security community. This fusion of autonomous AI agents with proven tools like Nemesis will help define the next era of cybersecurity operations.
